SMS has just completed the supply of equipment to the newly opened ‘Green Rooms’ in Treforest just north of Cardiff. The Green Rooms, run by Wayne and Vicki, are probably the best practice and session facilities in South Wales with 4 fully equipped sound proof practice rooms and a superb 100 capacity licensed performance room. The performance room is fully equipped with a stage, bi-amped FOH PA system, monitors, microphones, dynamics, EQ, backline and drum kit. Managing Director commented, “The green Rooms with their first class facilities are the ideal place to practice your new songs and then perform them to your friends and fans in a standard setting environment”. SMS supports Gofal Cymru
SMS is pleased to announce their support for Gofal Cymru, Wales’ leading community based provider of support to those suffering mental ill health problems. Commenting on this new relationship managing director Ian Smith said, “We all accept that from time to time we suffer with health problems but we are not so ready to acknowledge that we can fall victim to mental ill health. Everyone gets depressed because of say failing an exam (like catching a cold) or because of a bereavement (bit like flu) but for some of us it can be more severe. Just because it can’t be seen the problem is still real and can be devastating for the sufferer and their family. Please join SMS in supporting this excellent charity”.

Ben Kingman live sound engineer for Cerys Matthews. Cerys recently headlined the Celtic Spirit Music Fest in Abergavenny with her band and sound engineer Ben Kingman. Ben was delighted that on his arrival the system installation was fully completed and “Everything worked first time”.
Despite very challenging room acoustics the system sounded great and the audience was able to enjoy Cerys’ performance without interruption or distraction. Commenting on the Logic System Ben said, “I’ve worked with Logic before so I knew what to expect; the Logic Ethos is a lovely system. The venue acoustics weren’t the best but SMS had EQ'd the system before we arrived. As a result the system handled it well; SMS provided an excellent and professional service”.

Sunday 24th May at the Abergavenny Market Hall, promises to be a fantastic day for live music in Wales. The event includes not only the Welsh songstress Cerys Mathews, ('with a voice suspended somewhere between soothing lullaby and sensuous seduction' - The Independent) but also the American singer-songwriter Diana Jones 'the best album I've heard in months and months....an absolute gem!' - Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2.

Maindee Festival Newport now in its ninth year has booked SMS to provide stage, ligting, PA and power supply.
Maindee Festival, probably Newport's largest cultural event is being held on 4 July 2009 at Maindee Primary School and will feature 10 hours of the best local talent and many other attractions. Watch the local press for details

'Let The Worship Rain Down' A night of contemporary worship and celebration of mission. The theme was Worship through Mission, and featured: STORM, Dave Fielder and Dai Hankey, The Highfields Band. Organisers were Tom Burnell & Sam Orr. The event was very well attended, and included live music, talks and video films. System comprised of Yamaha M7CL Digital Mixer, Logic Ethos Front of House and Monitoring.
Sly & Robbie
Legendary drummer Sly and basist Robbie rocked Newport on Saturday 2 November when they played the Newport Centre. They and their crew were "Thrilled" with the Logic Ethos FOH system which was coupled to a Yamaha M7CL and Logics LM15 monitors.
Funeral For A Friend playing Bridgend....
Funeral For A Friend are to headline at this charity event taking place at the Bridgend Recreation Centre on 10 July 2008, proceeds are going to the Samaritans. The event is being promoted by Matt Ford of the Music Station, Bridgend. SMS is providing a Logic Ethos rig on Front on House, power comes from MC2 digital amps and mixing with a Yamaha M7CL. Monitoring is catered for with 8 Logic LM15s powered by MC2 and Yamaha amplification. Technical support is provided by Nick Fowler and Ian Smith whilst control of the in-house lighting is by Tom Hughes. Further details including tickets and support acts will be posted soon.
NEWS! SMS provides Sound Reinforcement for 'Kids in Glass Houses' at their debut album launch.....
Newly signed to Roadrunner Records Kids in Glass Houses from South Wales performed at HMV Cardiff to promote their debut album 'Smart Casual' to 300+ fans. SMS put up Logic Ethos on FOH, Logic SM15 monitors on fold back all powered by MC2 amps. A Yamaha M7CL 48 channel desk provided mixing and outboard; result - a fantastic sound.
SMS is working for another Welsh legend when we provide sound reinforcement for Racing Cars at the Martyrs Club, Dowlais on Saturday 26th January. We will be providing a Logic System Ethos VA line array rig with LM15 monitors, MC2 amplification and 'Digital Mixing' with a Yamaha M7CL 48 channel desk.
